Summer is upon us. Which makes it hard to work. Why? Sun, longer days, vacations, and added responsibilities if you are also a caregiver.
It’s easy to start stressing about the time away from the desk. It is easy to get in a trap where we either begrudge the fact we have to work or begrudge the fact we can’t.
As a parent, I have always struggled with the balance of summer break. It is hard to focus on smut when my kids are asking for rides, need to be supervised, or want to have a friend over.
Last week I had a call with a medium. It was an hour-long and focused on my work. Her advice could apply to many of us who are doing creative work for a living.
